Kelsey Bigelow

Director of Marketing

At my core, I’m a story teller. I started telling stories at age two and haven't stopped. I love telling stories about unique brands to grow businesses in thoughtful and impactful ways.

I believe there's more to digital marketing than simply having a high number of followers and seek to gain followers who are relevant consumers to a brand. Social media and digital marketing is about connection and telling a brand's story. I am a storyteller.

I have extensive experience with every step of the digital marketing journey. I have created both basic and in-depth social media calendars for single channels as well as to correspond with full marketing campaigns. I have been responsible for the scheduling and posting of content in advance and the day-to-day management and interaction of channels.

My background as a freelance photographer and formal education in visual arts allows me to create effective visual content to correspond with campaigns. I am experienced in creating photo, video, and graphic content from start to finish. I also have experience organizing and managing multi-day content creation photo and video shoots with in-house and outside teams. Graphics are only a piece of a successful marketing campaign. I am also experienced in writing attention grabbing copy for social media, blogs and websites, and e-mail marketing.

Analytics are an important key performance indicator (KPI) for digital marketing. I understand how to track and evaluate campaigns for their success. I have experience creating analytic KPIs as well as tracking, evaluating and adjusting content to meet those KPIs.

I have experience as a digital media consultant and teacher. I have consulted with several brands to help them identify social media weaknesses and develop a detailed strategy to use social media to their advantage. I’ve taught workshops on topics related to social media including what analytics to track, how to effectively plan content and in-depth analysis of specific social channels.

Currently, I work as a marketing manager for a Denver distillery. My position is responsible for both B2C marketing with our on-site tasting room and restaurant, as well as B2B marketing through liquor stores and offsite accounts. Through my efforts, I have doubled YOY sales in the tasting room from 2019 between May 2020 and October 2020, even during COVID-19. I managed social media accounts, SEO and content on a Wordpress website which saw a 314% increase in web traffic in 15 months, and email marketing. I also oversaw the marketing for large events which brought in $10,000-$30,000 individually, including graphic creation, social media, email marketing, and press releases.

Prior to that, I was a digital marketing manager for a skincare manufacturing brand. I managed every piece of digital marketing and content for three brands under the company's umbrella. Beyond the basics of managing their social media, I managed a $100,000 e-commerce website project that brought in $50,000 in 90 days with minimal digital advertising. I was in charge of all our e-mail marketing from planning campaigns, writing copy and creating designs to implementing segmentation. They also tapped me to teach workshops to clients.

Personally, I am extremely detail oriented and organized. I excel in an environment with a lot going on, where I am able to manage several projects at a time. I am a self starter and am always looking for what needs to be done to grow a business or take a project to the next level.

Who is the Freckled Dog?

Meet Cali and Delta, aka The Freckled Dogs. They’re named ‘The Freckled Dogs’ for their many freckles (or naughty spots as some call them.) Cali is a five year old border collie/lab mix and Delta is a year old border collie/cattle dog mix. They’re both insanely smart and know over 100 tricks and commands. They’re both agility dogs and she love to run fast and show off their skills.
